An embedded video or PDF captures the click for itself: in the editor, there was no way to select the element, only to interact with its content. This delivery solves that and adds a panel to configure each media item.
How it works
While the editor is on, each media item gets a frame with a type label, a layer that takes the click instead of the content and handles on the four corners for resizing. On save, the frame goes away: what reaches the database is the clean tag. On the published site, the media responds normally.
The panel
- Source: an address or a file picked on the server, with width and height in
px,%orvh. - PDF: the browser's own reader, an embedded reader with a toolbar and zoom, or Google's viewer.
- Playback: controls, autoplay, loop, muted and a poster image.
- Advanced: parameters, fallback content, styles and classes.
A fix in the same week
The first version inserted the media at the layout root when no element was selected. Because the layout is shared, the same video showed up on every page. Insertion without a target now always goes to the page content.
