Device preview loads the real page
The phone and tablet preview is no longer a copy of the HTML: it opens the page itself, with styles and scripts. The mobile menu works in the preview as it does live.
The device preview built a document with only the page's HTML and CSS. The scripts were missing: the mobile menu did not open and no interaction responded. The preview showed the design, not the behaviour.
What changed
The preview now loads the page itself inside the device frame. Width-based rules, viewport-relative sizes and interactions work as they do for the visitor.
- The editing bar does not appear inside the preview: a URL parameter stops it from opening again there.
- The preview shows the saved version. What is being edited and has not been saved is preserved when going back to the desktop view.
Backup restore
The same batch changed how editor backups are restored. Before, the backup HTML was injected in the browser, which broke page scripts when switching from one backup to another. Now the request goes to the server, the page reloads with the backup rendered through the normal path and the editor reopens in edit mode. The backup only takes effect after saving.
