Pages gain scheduling and historical dates

A page can have a date to go live and a date to come down, and accepts creation dates in the past. That is what allows publishing a history without dating everything as new.

Until now, a page was either live or not. This delivery adds time: when it starts to count, when it stops, and what date it claims to have.

Publication window

The page and publication forms gained two fields: publish from, and expire on. Outside that window, the public address answers 404, as if the page did not exist. Inside it, nothing changes.

It is useful to prepare in advance what should only appear on a set day, and to take down on its own what has a deadline, such as a campaign.

Historical dates

The creation and modification dates became editable, with validation. Anyone bringing content from elsewhere, or rebuilding a history, records the real date of each item.

This news channel is an example: every entry shows the date the change happened, not the date the text was written.
