Documentation as code, rewritten from the code

Conn2Flow documentation is now Markdown versioned with the core, checked against the code and published to the site by a command. All 41 libraries and 32 modules were rewritten.

The old documentation could not be trusted as a source: it described functions that no longer existed and behaviour that was wrong. The decision was to treat it as code.

A single source

The docs live as Markdown in the core repository, on the same path in both languages, in four areas: guides, concepts, reference and what's new. Each file declares which sources it depends on and the commit it was checked against.

Three commands

  • c2f docs:audit points out what fell behind the code.
  • c2f docs:extract pulls each library's function block from the code.
  • c2f docs:build turns the Markdown into the system's own resources: pages, publications, menu and a searchable index.

What was rewritten

The concepts, the 41 libraries and the 32 modules, in Portuguese and English, always confirming the behaviour in the code before writing. The result is at /en/docs/, with a plain-text index for AI agents.
